The National Entrepreneurship Index (NEI) was created to provide a comprehensive measurement of the state of entrepreneurship in Uganda, helping policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs understand the strengths and weaknesses of the ecosystem. It serves as a benchmark for evaluating progress and guiding targeted interventions to improve the business environment.
